An oversize tee is such a basic wardrobe staple, especially for spring and summer. An oversize tee is so easy wear and style, especially with a simple tuck. Here are some of my favourite ways to tuck a tee to elevate my look.
The Vertical Twist Full Tuck
This tuck is so simple and looks great with any bottoms. To make this tuck, simply grab the tee just above the belly button, pull away from your body, and twist back. Once twisted back, simply tuck into your bottoms. I like this tuck because it creates interest in the front, as well as creating and almost ruched effect, which really helps to draw in your waist and create a nice curve.
The Twisted French Tuck
The French tuck is so classic, but sometimes I find when wearing an oversize tee it looks too frumpy for me. A simple way to eliminate that it a simple twist. To create this tuck, just grab the tee from the centre front, pull away from your body, and twist. After twisting, simply tuck the twisted tail into the front of your bottoms.
The Rosette
While not technically a “tuck”, the rosette is a great way to elevate an oversize tee. The rosette is simple to create, but can take a little bit of practice. To create the rosette, pull the tee at the seam on the side (either side works, whichever is your preference), twist the fabric, and then coil into the rosette shape and tuck in the tail. Sometimes tucking the tail can be difficult, so some practice may be required. I love using a rosette tuck when I’m dressing up an oversize tee. The rosette is also a great “tuck” to use when wearing bottoms that don’t really allow for a more traditional tuck.
